Hundreds of West Bankers were denied access to Occupied Jerusalem to perform the second Friday of Ramadan.
Since the early morning hours tight restrictions have been imposed at the military checkpoints leading to Occupied Jerusalem blocking hundreds of worshipers’ access to perform the Friday prayer at the Aqsa Mosque.
A huge crowd of people gathered near the 300 military checkpoint north of Bethlehem seeking to perform the Friday prayer at the Aqsa.
Meanwhile a group of settlers blocked the road before the worshipers’ buses in an attempt to prevent the worshipers’ access to the holy site.
On the other hand the Palestine Red Crescent Society affirmed that the Israeli police prevented its teams’ entry into the Mosque.
Tens of thousands of Palestinians are expected to observe the second Friday of Ramadan in the holy site.
