Israel carried out 53 violations against Palestinian journalists last March Journalist Support Committee (JSC) said.
According to a report issued by the JSC 11 Palestinian journalists were injured while covering Israeli occupation army or Jewish settlers’ violations against Palestinian citizens in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
The report underlined that 13 Palestinian journalists were detained or interrogated while the detention orders of five Palestinian journalists were extended.
“Israeli courts extended the detention of Palestinian journalist Amer Abu Arafa and the administrative detention of journalist Omar Abu Al-Rub for the fourth time in a row” JSC pointed out adding that the trial of journalist Lama Abu Ghosheh was postponed and her house arrest was extended twice.
The Voice of Palestine radio station’s offices in Occupied Jerusalem were closed for six months for alleged incitement against Israel according to the report.
It added that seven social media accounts for Palestinian journalists were suspended as part of the campaign launched against Palestinian content by Meta highlighting that Palestinian journalist Laila Ouda was fired by France 24 for supporting the Palestinian cause.
