The Israeli occupation Authorities (IOA) on Saturday decided to extend the closure imposed on the West Bank borders and Gaza crossings due to the “tense security situation.”
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant summoned military reinforcements to back the Israeli police forces in “central cities” according to the Israeli army radio.
It added that Palestinians who were granted permits to enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound for Ramadan will not be allowed entry during the closure.
A week ago the IOA decided to impose a closure on the West Bank borders and Gaza crossings under the pretext of celebrating the Jewish holiday of Passover. The closure was supposed to end tonight.
Last Wednesday Jewish settlers started their massive raids into the Al-Aqsa Mosque to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Passover which lasts for a week.
