The Israeli occupation army carried out at dawn Sunday airstrikes on different Syrian sites including a military compound a radar and artillery posts.
Following a second barrage of three rockets from Syria the Israeli army initially said it responded with artillery fire into the area where the rockets were fired from.
According to Al Jazeera satellite channel there were two rounds of rocket launches from Syrian territory in the early hours of Sunday. The first involved three rockets one of which landed in a field in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
The second launch which also involved three rockets set off sirens in northern Israel (1948 occupied Palestine).
There were no reports of casualties. Jordan’s army said debris from a rocket fell into its territory but caused no casualties or damage.
Lebanon-based Al Mayadeen TV said the rocket launches were claimed by the al-Quds Brigades the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement.
The cross-border exchanges early on Sunday came as the Israeli occupation state had escalated its aggression on multiple fronts including Gaza Lebanon east Jerusalem and the West Bank.
