Former Minister of Jerusalem Affairs Khaled Abu-Arafa on Sunday hailed Palestinian worshippers for intensifying their presence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan.
Abu-Arafa praised Jerusalemites for mobilizing at the Al-Aqsa Mosque since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan despite the Israeli restrictions imposed on them.
He underlined that the Israeli police have been trying to weaken the Jerusalemites’ determination by arresting hundreds deporting dozens from the Al-Aqsa Mosque and holding others in home confinement.
Calls have been renewed on Palestinian citizens to intensify their presence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque to protect it against Israeli desecration.
Palestinian worshippers had set up dozens of tents in the Al-Aqsa Mosque to perform Itikaf in the remaining days of Ramadan.
