The Israeli district court in Occupied Jerusalem decided on Wednesday to sentence Palestinian prisoner Sanad Tarman to 30 years in jail for allegedly carrying out a car-ramming attack in February 2020 that injured 12 soldiers.
According to the family committee of the Jerusalemite prisoners the court also sentenced prisoner Tarman to another suspended one-year jail term and ordered him to pay compensation to the wounded soldiers.
In this regard Mohamed Tarman Sanad’s brother denied that his brother carried out a car-ramming attack in 2020 affirming that what happened was a traffic accident.
“This was absolutely a traffic accident. The steering wheel slipped out of his hands and he lost control of the car so he fled for fear of being killed but the next day he went to a police station and turned himself in.”
