Hordes of extremist Jewish settlers carried out attacks on Palestinian citizens in the West Bank and Jerusalem on Friday the first day of the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
According to local sources dozens of settlers escorted by soldiers stormed al-Mughayyir village in the northeast of Ramallah and blocked its eastern entrance.
Eyewitnesses said that Israeli soldiers fired rubber bullets and tear gas canisters at local residents from the village as they tried to fend off the settlers who attacked them.
Another group of settlers reportedly went on the rampage through the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah and assaulted local residents and their parked cars under police escort.
Earlier a bunch of settlers stormed the Palestinian area of al-Hafira in southern Jenin where they performed rituals under military protection.
