The Council of Islamic Awqaf in Occupied Jerusalem has strongly denounced the Israeli police for raiding the Aqsa Mosque’s Bab al-Rahma prayer building and destroying its electrical wiring system speakers and other contents.
In a statement on Saturday the council described what happened in the Bab al-Rahma building as a “reflection of intense hatred being harbored by the Israeli police and their officials against the Aqsa Mosque.”
The council expressed its belief that such Israeli violations and blatant aggressive practices at the Aqsa Mosque and its Bab al-Rahma prayer hall would not succeed in achieving any malicious plots against the Islamic holy site.
The council underlined that the Bab al-Rahma building is an integral part of the Aqsa Mosque with its 144-dunum area adding that the Mosque would remain an Islamic holy site belonging exclusively to the Muslim nation.
