Israeli media outlets have recently launched an incitement campaign against deputy head of Hamas’s political bureau Saleh al-Aruri and conveyed official intents to assassinate him.
The Israeli media accused Aruri of standing behind the recent resistance operations in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
They also accused Aruri of being behind the recent multi-arena attacks on Israeli targets and citizens that happened in retaliation for violent police raids on Muslim worshipers at the Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.
This incitement campaign against Aruri was led by former Israeli military and security officials who now work as political analysts and writers for Israeli channels and newspapers. They clearly called for targeting him in talk shows and their writings on news websites.
As other Hamas officials Aruri recently warned the Israeli occupation state of persisting in its aggressive practices against the Muslim worshipers at the Aqsa Mosque affirming that his Movement was on the lookout for its actions in Jerusalem.
