Member of Hamas’s political bureau Ali Baraka has denounced the new Israeli plan to legalize 70 settler outposts in the West Bank describing such a step as part of the ongoing Israeli aggression against the occupied Palestinian land.
“These settler outposts will join nine settlements that were legalized last February which is considered blatant persistence in targeting our occupied land appropriating our Palestinian people’s resources and controlling their infrastructure” Baraka said in press remarks on Saturday.
The Hamas official also described the Israeli intent to carry out such settlement plan as a flagrant challenge to all the regional and international decisions and calls that demand an end to any settlement activity on the occupied Palestinian lands.
He called for pooling the Palestinian efforts and escalating the armed resistance operations in order to respond to what he called “the Israeli settlement aggression” stressing that the resistance is the best option to curb the Israeli settlement encroachment and protect the Palestinian people their land and holy sites.
The Israeli occupation government has announced its intent to initiate procedures for the legalization of 70 Jewish settler outposts across the West Bank during the next few weeks.
These outposts will be linked to nine settlements that were previously legalized by the Israeli government in the West Bank.
