The Islamic Jihad Movement has mourned martyr Khader Adnan vowing to respond to what it called “the crime of his assassination” in an Israeli jail.
“During our long march towards Jerusalem we will lose many brave men leaders and fighters. The fighter and leader Sheikh Khader Adnan was one of those who paved a wide path for all those who seek freedom in Palestine and the world” Islamic Jihad said in a statement on Tuesday.
The Movement stressed that it would continue to uphold the same path and approach that was taken by Adnan and all the martyrs who preceded him adding that the Israeli occupation state should realize that its crimes would not go unanswered.
In a related context Palestinian media outlets published today a will written by Khader Adnan on April 2 one month before his martyrdom. He died inside an Israeli jail today May 2 2023 after 87 days of hunger strike in protest at his illegal detention.
“Praise be to Allah — the Lord of all creation — for enabling me to go on my hunger strike for freedom. Praise be to Allah for His countless blessings” Adnan started his will.
“I am sending you these words of mine from my imprisonment in the beloved and genuine Palestinian city of Ramla while my body and flesh have faded away and my bones and strength have weakened. I’m writing this will to my family children wife and people” Adnan said.
“My wife I urge you and my children to fear Allah Almighty to hold firmly to his commands to be satisfied with His bounties to speak the truth at any time and in any place to maintain ties of kinship to observe the prayers to pay the Zakat (obligatory charity) to stay away from what Allah has prohibited to abide by all that He has ordered us to do in our lives money movement and residence and to know that the best homes in Palestine are the homes of the martyrs the prisoners the wounded and the righteous people” he added.
