Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Monday attacked Palestinian demonstrators who were commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba northwest of the West Bank city of Ramallah.
Media sources reported that a number of Palestinian citizens suffered breathing problems after the IOF soldiers fired stun grenades and tear gas bombs at them to quell their peaceful march at the entrance of Nabi Saleh village.
Earlier today Palestinian citizens all over the Palestinian territories marked the 75th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba when tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians were forcibly expelled from their homes by Zionist armed militias to make way for the establishment of Israel.
According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics the Nakba resulted in the displacement of 800 thousand Palestinians out of the 1.4 million Palestinians who were living in historical Palestine in 1948.
The Center underlined that Israel destroyed 531 Palestinian towns and villages during the Nakba adding that the atrocities of Zionist forces included more than 70 massacres in which more than 15 thousand Palestinians were martyred.
