The last Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip displaced 459 Palestinian families composed of 2515 people according to the Ministry of Social Development.
In a news conference held in Gaza on Wednesday the ministry explained that those displaced families include 1180 children 688 women and 97 elderlies and three persons with special needs.
The spokesman for the ministry said that the recent Israeli aggression increased the suffering of Gaza families who already live in difficult conditions as a result of 16 years of Israeli blockade.
The spokesman added that more than 64 percent of the Gaza population suffers from food insecurity while the poverty rate reached 60 percent and the unemployment rate exceeded 44 percent.
The spokesman pointed out that Gaza children were a direct target during the aggression and were traumatized by the sounds of Israeli warplanes bombs and explosions.
He condemned the international passivity towards the crimes that were committed by the Israeli occupation army against Gaza children calling for action to protect them.
He also called on the international Arab and Islamic institutions to support the affected and poor families in Gaza.
