IOF quells anti-settlement marches in West Bank

Clashes were reported between Palestinian youths and Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in various West Bank areas on Friday after the IOF soldiers attacked Palestinian citizens who organized protests against the Israeli settlement activities and the flag march in Occupied Jerusalem.

A number of Palestinian citizens were injured after the IOF soldiers fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear-gas bombs at Palestinian protestors in Beita and Beit Dajan villages in Nablus.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that two Palestinian citizens suffered breathing problems in Beita while twelve others were wounded in Beit Dajan.

In a related development a number of Palestinian citizens were injured after the IOF soldiers fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas bombs at protestors in Kafr Qaddoum village in Qalqilya.

Since July 2011 Kafr Qaddoum village has witnessed marches every Friday to demand the opening of the village’s main entrance which has been closed by the IOF for many years.

In another development a number of Palestinian citizens suffered breathing problems after the Israeli soldiers fired teargas bombs at Palestinian houses in Qaryut village south of Nablus to facilitate the Jewish settlers’ raid into the village according to local sources.
