For his part the media chief of the Action Group for Palestinians of Syria (AGPS) Fayez Abu Eid told the PIC that the spread of the new wave is due to the lack of knowledge and awareness adding that UNRWA clinics don’t fulfill their duties towards the refugees in the camp.

Meanwhile the refugee Yasin Mohammed stressed that the spread of COVID-19 poses a real threat to the camp as the refugees suffer from rundown of services provided in the health sector.

Since the announcement of the outbreak of the pandemic large numbers have been infected by COVID-19 or died due to the severe shortages of medical supplies in the camp.
