A Palestinian teenager was injured on Saturday when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at him near the military checkpoint of Barta’a in the southwest of Jenin.
According to the Red Crescent an Israeli soldier opened fire at 16-year-old Bashar Ta’mah and wounded him in his leg during his presence in an area near the Barta’a checkpoint.
The kid was detained for a while before the IOF handed him over to Red Crescent paramedics. He was taken to Ibn Sina Hospital for medical assistance.
In another incident another Palestinian citizen identified as Mamoun Nassar was shot at point-blank by an Israeli soldier as he was grazing his sheep in the southern area of Madama village south of Nablus.
Madama mayor Wajih Qit said that a settler working as a guard at the settlement of Yitzhar incited Israeli soldiers to open fire at the shepherd adding that he was injured by a rubber bullet and rushed to Rafidia Hospital.
