Four Palestinian farmers suffered from gunshot injuries after Jewish settlers and Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed an area near Turmusaya and Al-Mughayer villages east of Ramallah on Friday afternoon.
The member of al-Mughayyir village council Marzouq Abu Naim affirmed that a group of settlers from the Adei Ad illegal settlement attacked Palestinian farmers while working in their agricultural land between Turmusaya and al-Mughayyir villages and set fire to five vehicles in the area.
The IOF stormed the area to protect the settlers which led to the outbreak of violent clashes between the soldiers and unarmed youths. Four youths sustained gunshot injuries during the confrontations one of whom was seriously hit in the head.
Meanwhile the IOF continued to impose a total blockage on Al-Mughayyir village for the fourteenth day in a row tightly restricting the locals’ movement.
