Palestinian activists organized a massive rally on Saturday to condemn allowing Jewish settlers’ return to a previously evacuated settlement outpost to the northwest of the West Bank city of Nablus.
Palestinian protestors reiterated their rejection of the Israeli decision that enables Jewish settlers to return to the Homesh settlement outpost established on Palestinian lands in Burqa town.
Last week the Israeli War Minister Yoav Gallant decided to allow Jewish settlers to return to Homesh which was evacuated in 2005.
The Israeli army will establish military sites as a starting point for rebuilding the evacuated settlement.
The illegal settlement outpost of Homesh was established in 1982 on Jabal Al-Qabibat area located in Burqa town northwest of Nablus and Silat ad-Dhahr town south of Jenin.
Last March the Knesset passed a bill repealing clauses of the Disengagement Law that had banned Jewish settlers from living in four settlements outposts including Homesh.
