Hamas leader Abdul Hakim Haneini has stressed that the Palestinian resistance activities have been escalating despite the continued Israeli arrest and assassination campaigns launched against Palestinian resistance fighters.
In a press statement on Saturday Haneini said that Israel has been launching security campaigns in the West Bank to wipe out resistance but to no avail calling on Palestinian resistance fighters to continue defending their lands and holy sites.
“Security coordination with the Israeli occupation should be halted” the Hamas leader affirmed adding that it encourages the Israeli occupation to further violate the Palestinian people’s rights and lands.
Haneini underlined that winning the student council election by the Islamic Bloc at An-Najah National University and Birzeit University reflects that resistance is the choice of the Palestinian masses.
He also reiterated his Movement’s insistence on holding presidential and general elections in the Palestinian territories.
