Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya talked over the phone with Turkish president Recep Erdogan on Tuesday evening and congratulated him on his reelection.
According to Hamas’s website Haneyya expressed his confidence in the Turkish president’s supportive positions towards the Palestinian people and their inalienable rights to their homeland and Aqsa Mosque.
He also expressed his congratulations to the Turkish people from all spectra on the success of the unique democratic process in their country.
For his part president Erdogan expressed his thanks to the Hamas leader for his phone call and his heartfelt sentiments affirming that he would continue his unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their just rights.
