The Islamic Christian Authority for Patronizing Jerusalem and Holy Sites has warned that Israel’s settlement activity has become a strategic threat to the Palestinian people’s existence on their land and their national cause.
In a statement on Wednesday the Islamic Christian Authority affirmed that the Israeli decision to reactivate the settlement project known as “E1” would have devastating impacts on the Palestinian people politically and geographically and would dismember the occupied West Bank and turn it into ghettos.
It explained that this Israeli project if carried out would permanently isolate the occupied city of Jerusalem from its Palestinian environs threaten many Palestinian population gatherings with removal especially the Bedouin communities in Khan al-Ahmar and turn dozens of other Palestinian areas into ghettos encircled by Jewish settlements.
It underlined that this project would lead to serious political repercussions and a dangerous escalation in the existing conflict between the Palestinian people and the Israeli occupation state if it was not prevented by the international community.
