The National Bureau for Defending the Land has warned that the renewed Israeli settlement plan in Area E1 in the east of Occupied Jerusalem and near Maale Adumim settlement is aimed at isolating the northern and central West Bank from its south.
In a report on Saturday the National Bureau stressed that such an Israeli plan confirms that the option of the two-state solution is no longer viable.
This week the Israeli occupation army intends to discuss objections to the E1 settlement plan in east Jerusalem.
The Bureau pointed that this plan targets about 12000 dunums of land which the Israeli occupation authority considers part of the illegal settlement of Ma’ale Adumim.
Recently human rights groups warned that this Israeli plan would split the West Bank in half isolating east Jerusalem from Palestinian communities in the West Bank and force Palestinians to make even longer detours to travel from one place to another while allowing for Jewish settlements to expand.
