The Palestinian administrative detainees have decided to suspend the hunger strike they already intended to start in order to give a chance for the resumption of their talks with Israeli prison officials next month.
This decision was taken after officials from the Israeli prison service (IPS) met last Thursday with representatives of the detainees and decided to respond to some of their demands the committee of administrative detainees said in a statement on Saturday.
According to the committee the IPS officials decided to give their answer to the other demands later during another meeting to be held with representatives of the detainees early next month.
Accordingly the administrative detainees have suspended their open-ended hunger strike which they planned to stage tomorrow Sunday in order to give Israeli jailers one final chance to fulfill their demands fully the committee added.
