Extremist Jewish settlers established on Saturday a new settlement outpost on a swath of Palestinian-owned land in Deir Istiya town west of Salfit under military protection.
Deir Istiya mayor Muaad as-Salman said that dozens of settlers seized a swath of land belonging to Palestinian citizens in al-Qada area in the northern area of the town and embarked on building an outpost.
He added that the settlers placed two mobile homes and three cattle sheds on the land built a dirt road leading to the outpost and connected it to electricity and water supply networks.
Recently settlers built seven outposts in different areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem.
