Palestinian Legislative Council member Ayman Daraghmeh said on Sunday that the Israeli government is attempting to impose a new fait accompli on the Palestinian lands by pursuing land confiscation and settlement expansion policies.
Daraghmeh warned that the Israeli government is planning to confiscate large areas of Palestinian lands amounting to 70 percent of the West Bank adding that Israel is launching a new campaign that aims at expelling Palestinian citizens from their homes.
“Israel plans to link settlements in the West Bank to 1948 Occupied Palestine as part of future annexation plans” Daraghmeh stressed.
He underlined that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have been facilitating Jewish settlers’ attacks on the Palestinian villages in the West Bank affirming that the Palestinian citizens will continue protecting their lands against the repeated attacks.
Jewish settlers protected by the IOF have been escalating their attacks in Urif Umm Safa Sinjil Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya Al-Lubban al-Gharbiya and Turmus Ayya villages in the West Bank killing or injuring Palestinian citizens and damaging their property.
