The Hamas leader Abdel Rahman Shadid has condemned the repeated Jewish settlers’ attacks against the Palestinian people in the West Bank labeling them as “barbaric”.
In a press statement on Sunday Shadid said that attacking unarmed Palestinian citizens by Jewish settlers reflects that the Israeli occupation is confused due to the escalating Palestinian resistance activities stressing that resistance is the only way to confront the Israeli crimes.
For its part the Hamas Movement affirmed that the settlers’ crimes will not break the Palestinian people’s determination to resist the Israeli occupation calling on the Palestinian Authority to assume its responsibility and provide protection for the Palestinian people against the settlers’ attacks.
Jewish settlers protected by the Israeli occupation forces have been escalating their attacks in a number of Palestinian villages in the West Bank killing or injuring Palestinian citizens and damaging their property.
