IOF kidnaps Jerusalemite clash with resistance fighters in Jenin

Sunday 25-June-2023

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped at dawn Sunday a Palestinian ex-detainee from Jerusalem and clashed with resistance fighters in Jenin.

According to local sources Israeli police forces stormed Qalandia refugee camp in the northeast of Occupied Jerusalem and kidnaped Suleiman Abu Ghoush.

The detainee is the brother of martyr Hussein Abu Ghoush who was killed on January 25 2023 after he carried out a car-ramming operation near the illegal settlement of Kokhav Ya’akov in the West Bank.

In Jenin the IOF handed a young man called Mohamed as-Sous a summons for interrogation from the Shin Bet intelligence service.

Meanwhile armed clashes happened at dawn between resistance fighters and Israeli soldiers in al-Harsh area west of Jenin.

In a separate incident a horde of extremist Jewish settlers torched an electrical transformer cutting off electricity to Umm Safa village in Ramallah.

Settlers also hurled rocks at Palestinian cars traveling on a road in western Ramallah injuring one young man. Some cars sustained material damage in the attack.

Palestinian homes and property also sustained damage on Sunday morning in al-Mughayyir village in Ramallah after settlers opened fire at them.
