Israeli construction minister Yitzhak Goldknopf announced that he intends on Sunday to bring forward a bill for the establishment of a new Jewish-only settlement.
The construction of a new settlement in the Lower Galilee to be called Ramat Arbel is expected to be approved by the Israeli government on Sunday Goldknopf announced last Thursday during a field tour.
According to the Hebrew media Goldknopf toured the Galilee on Thursday as part of his policy to strengthen the Jewish presence and settlement in the area.
The plan is a cooperation of Goldknopf’s ministry with Negev and the Galilee minister Yitzhak Wasserlauf immigration and absorption minister Ofir Sofer and settlement minister Orit Struck.
In the first stage the initial planning of the settlement will be financed with hundreds of millions of shekels.
