United Nations Resident Coordinator for the Occupied Palestinian Territory Lynn Hastings has asserted that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) deliberately target unarmed Palestinian citizens during the ongoing attack on Jenin City.
In a press statement on Tuesday Hastings said that the IOF attacked one of Jenin hospitals where Palestinian citizens sought refuge as Israel continued its attack against the city and its refugee camp for the second day.
Hastings underlined that ten Palestinian citizens including three children have been killed since the beginning of the Israeli attack on Jenin City pointing out that IOF had completely destroyed the infrastructure of Jenin refugee camp by damaging the main electricity and water networks in the camp.
She concluded that the UN Department of Humanitarian Affairs is facing serious challenges while trying to provide the people of Jenin with medical services due to restrictions imposed by the IOF to hinder the medical crews’ work.
Ten Palestinian citizens including four children have been martyred while 100 others have been injured since the beginning of the Israeli attack on Jenin that started at dawn Monday.
