A horde of extremist Jewish settlers set fire to vast tracts of agricultural land in al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya town south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
Lubban ash-Sharqiya mayor Yaqoub Owais said that settlers set swaths of cultivated land ablaze in nearby locations in Sahel al-Lubban area of the town which is located between the illegal settlements of Eli and Ma’ale Levona.
He explained that the hot weather made the fire spread over large areas estimated at about 100 dunums of land planted with olive trees and wheat crops before civil defense crews managed to control the blaze.
