Deputy Director of the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf Council Sheikh Najeh Bakirat received an Israeli occupation authority (IOA) deportation order on Wednesday evening.
According to Jerusalemite sources the IOA decided to deport Sheikh Bakirat from Jerusalem after releasing him.
Earlier today Israeli police arrested Bakirat after storming his house in Sur Baher town southeast of Jerusalem as part of an arrest campaign launched against Jerusalemite figures.
Sheikh Bakirat had said that the Israeli decision to deport him from Jerusalem comes as part of the Israeli attempts to curb the influence of Jerusalemite figures and expel them from the holy city.
