The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) has approved the building of 12855 new settlement units in the West Bank since the beginning of 2023.
The building of 12855 new settlement units was approved in the first half of 2023 a threefold increase compared to the number of the units approved in 2022.
The IOA also discussed 75 settlement expansion plans in the first half of 2023. The plans aim at expanding illegal settlements or establishing new settlement outposts in the West Bank.
Moreover the IOA has discussed the construction of more than 13000 housing units since the beginning of the year.
Meanwhile Jewish settlers established 13 settlement outposts in the West Bank and Jerusalem in addition to succeeding in legalizing four new settlement outposts in Ramallah and Nablus governorates.
Furthermore the IOA and its Jewish settlers carried out 4073 attacks against Palestinian lands and property so far this year. In addition 44000 dunums of Palestinian lands were confiscated while 822 demolition orders were issued against Palestinian structures.
