Israeli police attacked Palestinian citizens who participated in a solidarity sit-in on Saturday evening after storming Silwan town to the south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem.
Clashes were reported between Palestinian youths and Israeli police after they beat the Palestinian citizens and fired stun grenades at them to quell the sit-in.
Palestinian families in Silwan organized the sit-in to stand in solidarity with the Jerusalemite citizen Harbi al-Rajbi and to protest at the Israeli decision to demolish his house.
Last June 20 Palestinian houses in Occupied Jerusalem were demolished eight of which were self-demolished.
