The Israeli authorities displaced on Wednesday two Palestinian families after demolishing their homes in the Bedouin village of Bir Hadaj in the Negev desert.
Local official Salim al-Danfiri said that Israeli bulldozers escorted by police forces stormed the village and embarked on knocking down two houses after forcing their residents including children to leave them.
The Israeli authorities carried out the measure at the pretext of unlicensed construction with no regard for the suffering of the families amid the current heat wave.
&ldquoThis is a systematic campaign by the government of Netanyahu Ben Gvir and Smotrich against the Negev people in general and Bir Hadaj villagers in particular but whatever they do we will continue the struggle and will never surrender to those who want to displace the Arabs from the Negev&rdquo Danfiri said in press remarks.
&ldquoThe police forces removed the families and their children from the two houses despite the hot weather and demolished them. It is inconceivable that the Negev people are exposed to such fascism by this government&rdquo the local official added.
Bir Hadaj is an Arab Bedouin village located in the south of the Negev desert and its population suffers from frequent demolition measures.
