The Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) has welcomed the Portuguese parliament’s vote in favor of a resolution recognizing the Palestinian Nakba and applauding the Palestinian struggle against the Israeli occupation.
In a press statement on Saturday the PLC extended thanks to the Portuguese MPs calling on the European parliaments to follow suit and support the Palestinian people and their just cause.
It further called on the European countries to boycott Israel and prosecute it for its violations of international laws and to support the freedom of the Palestinian people.
Earlier on Friday the Portuguese parliament recognized the Palestinian Nakba the occupation of Palestine that took place in 1948.
The resolution also applauded by majority vote the Palestinian people’s struggle for their right to self-determination.
