Palestinian citizens participated in a rally in the West Bank city of Ramallah on Sunday to demand the release of the political prisoners held in Palestinian Authority prisons in the West Bank.
The protesters called for releasing the political prisoners in order to achieve the Palestinian national unity stressing that arresting Palestinian resistance fighters is a crime against the Palestinian people.
The families of the political prisoners renewed their calls on the Palestinian people to hold activities in solidarity with the political prisoners in the West Bank.
Last Friday the committee of the families of political prisoners in the West Bank rallied in protest at the political arrest of the Hamas leader Sheikh Mustafa Abu Arrah who was released from PA prisons today.
Around 40 Palestinian activists students or ex-prisoners are currently held in the PA prisons in the West Bank.
