A number of Palestinian citizens were injured on Thursday as they tried to fend off a massive attack by extremist Jewish settlers in Asira al-Qibliya village south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
Chief of the village council Hafed Saleh said that dozens of settlers from the illegal settlement of Yitzhar attacked several homes in the southern area of Asira al-Qibliya and damaged their windows.
Saleh added that the settlers burned a parked car which started a fire in nearby power grid.
He said that some villagers were injured during clashes with the settlers and the soldiers who protected them.
Local sources said that ambulance crews provided medical assistance for about 15 citizens after they suffered from their exposure to tear gas adding that one young man suffered an arm fracture during the events.
