A horde of extremist Jewish settlers set vast tracts of Palestinian land on fire in Burin village south of Nablus amid clashes with local residents on Saturday.
According to local sources settlers escorted by soldiers set hundreds of trees aflame and attacked local residents as they tried to control the blaze in Burin.
In a separate incident a number of armed settlers stormed Arab al-Malihat area and walked provocatively near the residents&rsquo homes.
Meanwhile violent clashes took place between Palestinian youths and Israeli forces in al-Ram town in northern Jerusalem.
Local sources said that Israeli police forces fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters at angry youths during their raid in the town.
The police forces also set up a makeshift checkpoint at the main entrance of the town and obstructed the movement of vehicles and citizens.
