13 Palestinian administrative detainees have been on hunger strike for several days in protest at their illegal detention with no indictment or trial.
According to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) four of the hunger-striking detainees Saif Hamdan Osama Khalil Qusay Khader and Saleh Rabay&rsquoah entered on Sunday day 15 of their hunger strike.
Two other prisoners Kayed al-Fasfous and Sultan Khallouf started their hunger strike 11 days ago while another administrative detainee called Osama Daqrouq started his hunger strike seven days ago PPS said.
PPS added that six administrative detainees in Ramon jail joined the hunger strike last Thursday.
Administrative detention is a procedure that allows the Israeli occupation army to hold Palestinian prisoners indefinitely on alleged secret information without filing indictments against them or allowing them to stand trial.
In a related context the Palestinian Commission of Detainees&rsquo and Ex-Detainees&rsquo Affairs said that the hunger-striking administrative detainees are exposed to psychological pressure in Israeli jails.
In a statement on Sunday the Commission said that the Israeli prison service (IPS) recently confiscated all the personal needs and clothes that belong to the hunger-striking administrative detainees.
IPS also deprives those hunger strikers of having mattresses all the time and only allows them to use them from 10 o&rsquoclock at night until six o&rsquoclock in the morning and when Red Cross officials visit them the Commission added.
In response the hunger strikers have boycotted Israeli infirmaries and medical tests in Israeli jails and only drink water the Commission pointed out.
