Dozens of Palestinian citizens on Tuesday participated in a rally in the center of the West Bank city of Jenin in solidarity with the hunger striking administrative detainees in Israeli jails.
Local sources reported that the participants chanted slogans in support of the hunger striking detainees raising their pictures and calling for an end to the policy of administrative detention.
Meanwhile Palestinian citizens participated in a rally in the center of Nablus after the National Committee for Supporting Prisoners in the Nablus Governorate renewed calls for organizing a rally in protest at the policy of administrative detention.
Moreover dozens of Palestinian citizens participated in a rally in front of the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Bethlehem.
The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners&rsquo Society had called on the Palestinian citizens to rally in front of the headquarters of the ICRC in Bethlehem.
Nine Palestinian administrative detainees have been on hunger strike for different periods in protest at the Israeli policy of administrative detention and in response at the Israeli repressive measures imposed against them.
