Six Palestinian detainees have been on hunger strike for different periods in protest at their illegal detention in Palestinian Authority (PA) jails in the occupied West Bank.
Two of those detainees Murad Malaysha and Mohamed Barahma are considered the longest hunger strikers as they started their hunger strike in Jericho jail 46 days ago.
The other hunger strikers are Abdul-Rahman Rashdan Annan Bashkar Yaqoub Hussein and Fadi al-Amour.
All the hunger strikers are ex-detainees who have served years in Israeli jails.
In a related context the family committee of political detainees in the West Bank said that the PA security apparatuses had committed 305 violations last month mainly against university students.
The committee accused the PA security apparatuses of arresting citizens in the West Bank for expressing their opinions and resisting the Israeli occupation affirming that over 60 citizens are being held illegally in different PA jails.
