The Israeli occupation army demolished on Monday morning at least four Palestinian homes and delivered demolition notices against four others in ad-Duyuk at-Tahta village west of Jericho in the West Bank.
According to local sources four bulldozers escorted by Israeli forces stormed the village and demolished four houses one of them under construction belonging to local residents and other citizens from Jerusalem.
Four other citizens also received military demolition orders against their homes in the same village.
Like in Jerusalem the Israeli occupation authority systematically demolishes Palestinian homes and structures in the West Bank at the pretext of unlicensed construction while it prevents the local residents from obtaining permits or makes it difficult for them to meet construction conditions.
In this regard Hamas spokesman Mohamed Hamada has condemned the Israeli occupation’s persistence in demolishing Palestinian homes as a &ldquocrime against humanity&rdquo and a &ldquoterrorist behavior that will not succeed in breaking the Palestinian people’s will.&rdquo
Spokesman Hamada said in press remarks today that the Israeli demolition policy reflects its disregard for all the international resolutions and human rights charters.
The spokesman called on the international community and its humanitarian and human rights organizations to break their silence towards such Israeli practices and help the victims.
