The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) decided to demolish the family homes of the two Palestinians Muhannad Shehadeh and Hassan Qatnani who were killed by Israeli occupation forces for carrying out anti-occupation attacks.
A spokesman for the Israeli army affirmed on Wednesday evening the demolition order against Shehadeh’s family house for being involved in an anti-occupation shooting in Nablus on June 20 2023.
Another demolition order was issued against Qatnani’s family house for being involved in a shooting operation on April 7 2023 in the Jordan Valley.
The Israeli forces took measurements of the two houses in June and May.
Israel routinely demolishes the homes of killed or captured Palestinians who are suspected of carrying out anti-occupation attacks saying it serves as a deterrent against future attackers.
However rights groups affirm the practice amounts to collective punishment.
