The European Palestinian Media Center (EPAL) said that a news conference is slated to take place tomorrow Thursday in The Netherlands to talk about the latest developments in the legal case and detention of Palestinian activist Amin Abu Rashed by the Dutch authorities.
The participants in the news conference will include Abu Rashed’s lawyer and his wife. EPAL has invited media outlets and journalists to attend the news gathering.
Amin Abu Rashid is a Palestinian-Dutch national known for his humanitarian and political activism for his own people and their national cause.
Last June the Dutch police announced they had arrested Abu Rashed and his daughter Isra over allegations of funneling &euro5.5 million to an organization related to the Hamas Movement.
European news reports however said later that his arrest was carried out based on information from the Israeli intelligence.
European governments have a tract record of leveling allegations of funding terrorism against Palestinian-European organizations that support the Palestinian people who are living under Israel’s brutal military occupation according to human rights groups.
It is well known that such allegations of &ldquoterrorism&rdquo and &ldquofunding Hamas&rdquo arise from intelligence shared by Israel and its propaganda groups in Israel and abroad.
