The Israeli occupation army notified Palestinian citizens on Tuesday of its intent to demolish 50 homes and structures and ordered others to restore reclaimed swaths of land to their previous conditions in Duma village south of Nablus.
In addition to homes and structures the demolition campaign also targeted a newly built road. Other military notices ordered local residents to return plots of land they reclaimed recently to their former conditions.
The Israeli army claimed that these lands are state property and located in Area C of the West Bank according to the Oslo Accords.
Local sources however affirmed that these homes and structures had been built on private lands belonging to local residents with ownership documents.
