Thursday 7-September-2023

The Israeli Minister of Transport Miri Regev on Thursday endorsed a new settlement expansion project that aims at linking illegal settlements and expanding settlement roads.

Regev said that the project is the most important strategic event since the beginning of establishing settlements in the West Bank.

The settlement project which is the largest in many years aims at building a highway that links Tel Aviv settlements in the West Bank and the Jordan Valley.

Hebrew Channel Seven said that the project includes expanding road 5 which has four lanes adding that the project costs 2 billion shekels.

The project which is going to be implemented next summer comes as part of the Israeli plan to increase the number of Jewish settlers into one million in the West Bank in the next ten years.
