The Israeli navy arrested two Palestinian fishermen and confiscated their equipment off the southern shores of the Gaza Strip on Saturday evening.
According to the fishermen committee the Israeli navy arrested the Palestinian fishermen Ibrahim Abu Jayyab and Ali Abu Jayyab and confiscated their boat while they were working at Rafah sea.
The committee underlined that the Israeli navy fired live bullets and tear gas bombs at Palestinian fishermen off the al-Waha and Al Sudaniyyah regions of the Gaza Strip shores.
It added that other Israeli gunboats opened their heavy machine-gun fire and fired flare bombs at the Palestinian fishermen while working west of Rafah port.
The Israeli navy harasses Palestinian fishermen off the Gaza shores on a daily basis firing at them and arresting them.
