One Palestinian young man was killed and seven others were injured on Wednesday evening after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) attacked protesters rallying in a border area east of Gaza.
According to local sources dozens of Palestinian young men rallied in an eastern border area in Gaza in protest at the ongoing Israeli crimes in the West Bank and Jerusalem and in support of the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
The sources added that Israeli soldiers opened live ammunition and fired tear gas canisters at the protesters injuring several of them. Some of those injured were reported to be in serious condition.
In a separate incident the IOF kidnaped two young men in western Jenin while resistance fighters opened fire at an Israeli helicopter overflying Jenin.
Local sources said that the young men were taken prisoners at the military checkpoint of Dotan near Ya&rsquobad town in western Jenin.
Meanwhile the IOF set up three makeshift checkpoints on roads near Ramallah and Nablus and obstructed the movement of Palestinian citizens and vehicles.
