IOF prepares to demolish homes of Palestinian prisoners in Nablus

Tuesday 19-September-2023

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) measured the homes of a number of Palestinian prisoners in Urif town south of Nablus on Tuesday morning.

The head of the Urif Village Council Abdel Hakim Sabah affirmed that the Israeli forces stormed the town took measurements of two local homes as a prelude to their demolition.

The two homes belong to the prisoners Kayed Sabah and Muhammad Shehadeh relatives of the two martyrs Muhannad Shehadeh and Khaled Sabah who were shot dead after carrying out a shooting operation last June.

The IOF troops earlier measured the homes of the martyrs Shehadeh and Sabbah in preparation for their demolition in the near future.

Demolishing the homes of Palestinians suspected of carrying out attacks is a long-held practice of Israel. Thousands of Palestinian people have lost their homes to demolitions in what human rights groups say is a policy by Israel of collective punishment that may amount to war crimes.
