Ismail Haneyya the Political Bureau Chairman of Hamas Movement on Wednesday reached Iraqi premier Mohammed al-Sudani and extended his heartfelt condolences over the victims of the tragic fire that occurred in the northern Iraqi city of Nainawa.
Haneyya said that he and the Palestinian people offer their sincere condolences to the Iraqi leadership and people over the victims of the fire in a wedding ceremony that killed dozens of guests and injured dozens others. He prayed for the speedy recovery of the wounded.
He affirmed his Movement’s solidarity with the Iraqi people and expressed confidence that Iraq is capable of overcoming the pain.
The Hamas leader appreciated the Iraqi government and people’s solidarity with the Palestinian people and cause.
Sudani for his part thanked Haneyya for his call and condolences and affirmed his country’s stable position in support of Palestine.
